Im trying to install dreamfall the computer game and it doesnt give you a choice to install in it in another drive other than the c drive, which I dont have enough room for it there, and is no way that I can delete anything from it to have the room, is there another way to get it to install into another drive?
Is there a way to install a computer game in another drive other then the c drive?
Go to "Run" on the Start menu in XP (assuming thats what you're using) and type in "regedit"
1. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\...
2. Find ProgramFilesDir whose default should be C:\Program Files
3. Change this to whatever directory (drive letter) you wish. I changed it to D:\Program Files
This will change where all programs install by default.
Reply:Look at folder of game or c:\tmp where she is unpacked you need setup.ini file open it and change path from there
Reply:When installing the game, you're normally asked to confirm if the installation location (which by default happens to be C drive) is alright. Don't say ok for that and just browse to where you would want to install it.
Reply:If it doesn't give you an option, I don't think you can install it in another drive. In some installation, there is an option for custom Installation or automatic installation. If you have this option, choose custom installation instead of automatic installation and you may be able to solve your problem.
All the best.
Reply:Whe Setup ask you "Would you like to install complete or custom type of installation or something else, choose custom and for installation path simply change drive letter or whole path.
Reply:yeah change the drive letter
Reply:when it asks you to install to C:\?????? JUST CHANGE THE "C" TO A "D" OR TO A DRIVE LETTER THAT YOU HAVE SPACE ON
